Miyelani Mkhabela

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER & INFRASTRUCTURE TRANSACTION ADVISORY LEADER

Miyelani Mkhabela  is the founding director and chief economist of Antswisa Management Group, where he is responsible for economic thought leadership, leading the business development and initiating strategies to build and grow the boutique firm  market value. He also serves in a number of leadership capacities including as a director of both the Antswisa Private Equity and Antswisa Asset Management.  Miyelani a Pragmatic South African economist and Capital Markets Strategist, a regular contributor to South African and Global Broadcasting channels. He is passionate about improving economic development & expansion and productive capacity in South Africa and the rest of Africa Markets.

 

Previously worked at Maxima Global Management Consulting firm 2005 focusing on Financial and Project Management Advisory, Management ABSA Commercial Property Finance 2006 to 2007, Lecturing Management Strategy, Strategic Marketing, Economics and Investments at Business Colleges and Business Schools including Richfield College University and Milpark Business School. ABSA Operations and ABSA International Banking.

Participated as a youth director for Youth Chamber in mining, SA Youth Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry Youth Chamber, a former BMF Young Professional and BMF Johannesburg Management Committee Member. A member of the Investment Analysts Society of South Africa (SA Investment Society).

 

He is an invited speaker on a wide variety of macroeconomic topics at conferences, is a regular guest on SABC TV, CNBC AFRICA, Hong Kong TV, SAFM, German Television and China Global Television Network and a columnist at Independent Online (Business Report). He advises and leads on medium and high-end complex domestic and international Transaction Advisory support and strategic management tools in different sectors. He is a specialist analyst for the State Of The Nation Address and The Budget Speech in South Africa.

 

He Manage, facilitate and implement consulting services and meet client’s business targets (assignment objectives, project scope, budget, paperwork, external consultants’ supervision and project delivery). Working with team to develop and deliver client training programs and impart best practices knowledge sharing to unique clients needs.

 

Miyelani is known for correctly identifying economic reforms and turning points, providing solutions for Infrastructure and Industrial Development. Miyelani has presented papers at The Cross Border Payments and Remittances Conference 2014, The 4th BRICS International Competition Conference 2015 themed “Competition and Inclusive Growth; National Planning Commission Vision 2030 Conference 2016; The Presidency 25 years of Democracy conference 2019; State Owned Enterprises Conference 2019. He is pre-booked for the 2020 Future of Jobs conference as a VIP Panel Speaker. He is the Johannesburg region leader of Circular Economy Club (CEC Johannesburg).

 

He earned a Bachelors degree in Economics and Management from University of Johannesburg, Post Graduate Certificate in Management with The Graduate Institute of Management and Technology, Entrepreneurship, ICT and Personal Effectiveness (Funded by Nokia and Finland Embassy), Development Practice Full Qualification with ETDPSETA 2009, and a enrolled for an Executive Masters in Business Administration from UCT Graduate School Of Business. (currently has a dissertation outstanding).
